In our Hydraulic Cylinders business, we manufacture engineered hydraulic cylinders used in mobile and heavy construction equipment applications. Our products often operate in demanding environments where equipment dependability is vital to maintaining the safety of personnel and goods.

As we continue celebrating Manufacturing Month, we’re introducing you to the hardworking and dedicated people behind our products. Meet Derrick McLeod, a Production Line Supervisor for our Hydraulic Cylinders business!

Derrick started at Leggett & Platt 10 years ago in the Saw and Drill Department, where he spent four years learning and developing his skills before advancing to a Team Lead position. Through continued hard work, he was later promoted to Supervisor of Value Stream 3, where he is responsible for leading and supporting his team.

“One of the things I am most proud of in my career is having the opportunity to help others succeed,” says Derrick. “I enjoy solving problems, helping team members overcome challenges, and supporting them as they work toward achieving their goals. Seeing others grow and succeed in their roles is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.”

Outside of work, Derrick enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and traveling.
